Q: What Led You to Start Using Cloth Diapers?
A:
I originally really wanted to
cloth diaper when I had my first daughter over 12 years ago. I even
won a diaper service! Unfortunately, it just did not work for us at
the time and I'm so grateful, to my dear friend, Amy, who posted a
picture of her homemade diaper on a e-loop and *SHOWED* me the new
cloth diaper--it certainly has changed over time and I'm thrilled to
be diapering my 10 month old in ALL cloth since birth!!!
Q: How did you go about making cloth diapers your business?
A: I originally was thinking of
going with a Cottage License but the repetitive costs year after
year just didn't seem to be cost effective. I started hunting out
diaper sites that were no longer in business and inquiring if they
were for sale. Surprise! I found one that was for sale and here I
am today!
Q: Was starting your business difficult?
A:
Certainly starting any business seems to be difficult but with hard
work and dedication I know that it will pay off with doing something
that I enjoy.
Q: How do you manage to run a business with small
children?
A: This is still an area that I struggle
with daily. Trying to balance out family with business and still
try to be the best wife & mommy and have the best customer service
for my business is always on the top of my list. My daughters have
enjoyed helping with the business and make all the strawberry
sachets that my customers really enjoy in their packages.
Q: What does your home office look like?
A:
My home office looks just like home! I have my computer in a family
area that screams at me every few minutes with emails and my sewing
machine at the end of our dining room so that I can watch the girls
doing schoolwork at the table and still sew. Fabric seems to have
overtaken our guest room with the dresser full of prints and the
closet has suedecloth hanging on hangers!....but for the most part
it's just a normal home with a scented candle burning, telephone
ringing, and children calling, "Mommmmmmyyyy"!
Q: What Is The Most Rewarding Thing About Running Your Home
Business?
A: I feel the most rewarding thing about
running my home business is when I get that positive feedback or
email from another Mom that appreciates the special creation made
just her baby! I've also met a lot of other really supportive
WAHM's who have been very supportive. Thanks Mamas!
Q: What new an exciting things can we
expect in the future?
A: I am hoping in the near future to
offer a wider variety of products including more for Mama! I am in
the process of making my website feel a little more like me...so be
on the look out for a few little changes coming soon!
